Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu
- Arrival at Paro International Airport
- Warm welcome by your local Guide & Driver
- Drive to Thimphu (1.5 hours)
- On the way visit at Tamchog Lhakhang and the Iron Chain Bridge
- Evening walk in Thimphu Town (Local shops & Cafes)
- Overnight: Hotel in Thimphu
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
- Visit:
- Changangkha Lhakhang – ancient temple
- Folk Heritage Museum or Simply Bhutan Museum
- Takin Preserve – Bhutan’s national animal
- Textile Museum & Royal Tashichho Dzong
- Optional: Visit a local art school or try Bhutanese archery
- Overnight: Hotel in Thimphu
Day 3: Thimphu – Dochula Pass – Punakha
- Drive to Punakha (2.5–3 hours) via Dochula Pass (3,100m). Stop to enjoy panoramic Himalayan views & 108 stupas at Dochula pass.
- On the way visit at Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple)
- In Punakha:
- Visit the stunning Punakha Dzong – located between two rivers (Pho chu & Mo chu)
- Walk across Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge
- Optional: River Rafting
- Overnight: Hotel in Punakha
Day 4: Punakha – Gangtey (Phobjikha Valley)
- Scenic drive to Phobjikha Valley (approx. 3–4 hrs)
- Visit the beautiful Gangtey Monastery
- Leisure hike along the Gangtey Nature Tra
- Explore the Black-Necked Crane Center
- Overnight: Homestay or eco-lodge in Phobjikha
Day 5: Gangtey – Return to Paro
- Drive back to Paro (approx. 6–7 hrs)
- In Paro:
- Relax in the hotel or explore the local market
- Optional traditional hot stone bath or cultural dress photoshoot
- Overnight: Hotel in Paro
Day 6: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang)
- Early morning:
- Hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang) (~5-hour round trip)
- Optional pony ride till halfway
- Post-hike:
- Lunch at a local restaurant
- Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples
- Evening at leisure in Paro
- Overnight: Hotel in Paro
Day 7: Explore Paro Valley
- Visit:
- Paro Rinpung Dzong – fortress and monastery
- Ta Dzong (National Museum)
- Dungtse Lhakhang – rarely visited temple
- Optional: Visit a local farmhouse with lunch and try local wine (ara)
- Overnight: Hotel in Paro
Day 8: Departure from Paro
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Transfer to Paro International Airport
- Farewell by Guide and Driver
